My Weather Loves Her Green Earth.

Such a nice day. I arrived on the roof late, around 2:27 and a crow swooped by and cawed 7 times, as she headed over the trees. The breeze was cool. There was a veil of cloud with ripples and waves that were tightly woven. It covered most of the baby blue sky. Sunlight was bright. The mountain showed green shades becoming burnt orange and yellow. Trees were still. Birds were silent. Seagulls glided and circled overhead. A crow cawed in the distance, and a cicada discreetly sounded. It was warm in the sunlight. In this, I’m in love with Anna.

I enjoyed the unhurried nature of the day. A very slow beginning, relaxing this morning, listening to music. I went out to pick up groceries.  Not too many deep thoughts.  Yesterday I found an old turntable and took it home. It allowed me to revisit the remains of my old vinyl record collection. I still have some of my first Bowie albums from my teenage years –I enjoyed Station to Station and the song TVC15. They were in pretty bad shape with familiar scratches and pops and surface noise.  I enjoyed listening to Phil Manzanera’s Listen Now and Paul McCartney’s Ram.  In the midst of all of this music, I’m in love with my heartthrob, Anna.

A slow start this morning, as I was tired.  I listened to Keith Jarrett’s performance of Gurdjieff’s sacred hymns and Charles Mingus’ Blues and Roots. A quiet and leisure afternoon, soaking up the sun, listening to music and in love with my soulmate and heartthrob Anna. A large flock of migrating geese made a noisy procession to the west. I watched them trail across the sky. But a careless helicopter passed too close and alarmed them. A part of the group separated to move out of the way.  The two groups continued on their journey. In this, I’m in love with Anna. I was longing for her.  My monster loves her zoo. My weeds love her insects. My weather loves her green earth.

My Red Fool Loves Her Black Trickster.

The air was cool and breezy. The warmth of the sun was welcome. The shimmering tree, with its majestic weight and depth, was waving goodbye to a crow, silently heading west. In that same moment, a gorgeous crow flapped steadily over my head -so low and so close. I heard the beating of her wings in the silence, and I was blessed in that moment. Two pigeons landed on the roof ledge, wooing and preening and pecking. I could see they were looking for the large pool of water that form on the rooftop after rain. In this, I’m in love with Anna.

Skies were baby blue and mature filling up with large tufts of low fluffy cloud on one plane. They were flattened at the bottom. The mountain was in shadow. It gradually lit up, as the sun appeared at the right angle. The speed of clouds was very slow. The pigeon couple ventured together to what was left of the pool. I heard their talons crackle in the wet gravel.  Shadows were long and at sharp angles. The cold breeze picked up and trees rustled.  A distant siren approached, as I woke up for recovering. More sirens joined in. They must have been going down the Decarie expressway.

Low clouds were beautifully shaded –a gigantic feast for the eye. The reality of it was this: there was no further outside –unless you meant outer space. But then, there is inner space -in the imagination, at least. It is the imagination that sets us free to express what cannot be seen. Waking up from dreams to find an empty space I could travel through. The electronic motor symphony played as I floated in the room  -to see my former wife and my baby and myself in bed sleeping peacefully…  Not tearing down the people, but to be compelled with an artist’s vision –that he or she sees without substance, except for the inner screen. To make that vision come to life is the magical power of the imagination.  I’m in love with Anna in this.

If the mind could conceive of its utter destruction -inwardly as in Buddhism, or in the gross form found in terrorism of the world –which is what is presently happening –then, we can use a little moderation and adjustment to conceive of a healthier world. If we’ve got the power to go down - and we certainly can go down, then why not go up? The wider range is always more interesting.  The whole range is needed, not just the destructive end. We have got no chance to know if there are permanent deathless beings on the planet. I know something about how life can be.   Some kind of inner destruction needs to be destroyed.  In the effort we make toward understanding –understanding no matter how near and how far, includes the understanding of our beloved.  I love her so. To be totally committed to freedom for our deeper understanding together.  It is a mystery deep and wide.  I’m in love with Anna in this.

Trees were well lit and in shadows. They were making me feel religious –any manmade thing for worship became a pale example. The light was supremely esthetic, from high art that transcends everything ever made. The making is actual and real. My sensations jived in subtle ways, and I was seized with emotion, from the blessing to be alive. I could see it no other way –we were meant to enjoy this Earth. But for some reason we are forced not to, and prevented and must learn about our own self-destruction. “Die before you die” the Sufi said. And I wondered where all of the Sufis went. Reality is very blurred. This is only a glimpse at the truth.

My Ecology Loves Her Green Dream.

My brain was addled all week from a head cold, but I was feeling better today.  I remembered it was 13 years ago, when I lived in this building and the first series of dream experiences I had and wrote down.  And I would also see crows arriving for what must have be a time-honoured event at the shimmering tree. There would be a hundred or more crows, that would come to land there and caw for a good 40 minutes or more, and then they would all depart. It was strange and interesting to see how orderly they would leave, in small groups at a time. The hundred or more crows would return every two or three months.  13 years later, the tradition continues, albeit in reduced numbers.  In the reflection of this, I love Anna.

There was a softening to the edges that let healing regions take shape, and I was letting go of harsh judgements about myself in the process. I don’t know where they came from, or what happened to me exactly, but I was ready for change and to be free and let them all go and be open to the new and the truth and my heartthrob. There has been a heap of trouble to recover from I am sure but now I’m waking up to my love, and I surrender to her in my heart.

Three crows sped off together, cawing all the way. The overcast sky was full and fun to look at. I really enjoyed the grey clouds that were low, like expansive stuffing. There was a mild ghostly light and the trees on the mountain were dark. Trees by the side of the road had paint splatters of yellow leaves. The green otherness of the trees had each their own hue emphasis. Yes, I love Anna in this.

The air was humid and the breeze was light. When you leap a hurdle and fall, get back up and get going, because the hurdle you just passed is done and you must be ready for the next one. I felt at peace in my love-writing.  I sense to collect my energy at the same time, and asses the affects of what I did the last time. To be under the low and grey cloud was enjoyable. It reminded me of the blanket tents I made as a child. I felt well protected in the stillness. The yellow tower of the Université de Montréal centered my view. I shook my head for my age of stupidity, but it bothered me less and less, because with healing, it’s different.  I am so much in love, and concerned for my son.  And my heart beats, and my breathing deepens for Anna. She is my beloved soulmate.

I love Anna Dirksen.

My Marriage Ceremony Loves Her Moon Baby.

A crow cawed in the distance, in the cool air. It was lightly raining. Rolls of grey cloud covered the entire sky. Gravel was soaking with large pools of rainwater. The wind was light. The sound of jets rumbled, behind the cloud, reverberating around. I was slowly waking up to the moment of now. Two crows flapped as a couple. The air vibrated with moisture. Rain clouds moved to the west. There was a mist upon the mountain. I’m in love with Anna in this.

A blackbird sped by, and then five crows passed the shimmering tree. They were cawing and a sixth crow soon arrived. A seventh crow came cawing, deliberately. She was directly above me, as I was concealed under the elevator stair. Two more crows shot by, cawing, and moving at an urgent clip. Dark clouds congealed, as the green on the mountain was vivid, in the cool dampness of air.  In this, I love Anna.

My Lightning Loves Her Black Fire.

It was very windy, with continuous gusting of force. Trees swayed vigorously. Even the shimmering tree swayed to one side, in the stormy sky. Dark grey clouds moved quickly from the west to the southeast. Along the north and over the mountain and behind the dark grey procession was a large ridged wall of white cloud that broke on the shores of blue sky. Up above me, clouds resembled large dabs of paint side by side in clusters while the smoky grey clouds were with strange presence. In this I’m in love with Anna.

It rained early this morning, and so the gravel was soaked in places, while some parts were dry or partly damp. My energy was low, as I was still recovering from congestion. Out in the air, I was able to breathe despite the headache. Trees waved and rustled –every leaf was alive. A large crust of cloud that bubbled like meringue obscured the sun. I loved watching the very dramatic dark shades of clouds. Sunlight was strained through cracks that remained very still as a sheet. To the east, all was telling of impending rain. In this, I’m in love with Anna.

A black bird clucked as she made her way over the trees. The air was soft and mild, despite the lack of direct sunlight. The shimmering tree rustled as waves. Many trees displayed their yellow or orange and red fashion. Many trees remained green still. A car horn repeatedly blared, as a distant birdcall pierced the air. The invasion of soft grey cloud continued. Many of them hovered over the mountain and filled the sky to the southeast, down at the CBC, where my love Anna would be. She is my soulmate.

I love Anna Dirksen.

My Sun Temple Loves Her Blue Heaven.

The shimmering tree rustled, with each leaf vibrating at a high frequency. Cicadas rang out at 10:20 and I was completely in love. Blue skies were pale, with a wash of light cloudy haze. To the north, a large crush of cloud, and a crow beat her wings as she went. The breeze was light, and refreshing, but quite constant up on the roof. The mountain looked very bright. In this, I am in love with Anna.

The sun was strong but there was softness to it. Shadows were low and penetrating. A crow cawed and a deep rumble rolled. It comes from the northern horizon. Two crows flapped and cawed as a couple. There was a spot of green on the gravel. A young pigeon landed on the roof ledge to make a survey, then dive down. Cicadas rang at 10:30 In this, I’m in love with Anna.

A tiny white butterfly fluttered by and a wasp landed on my brown shoe, as she was out on patrol on the gravel. The yellow spread in the trees, and there were red patches. Each tree had its own green coloration. A very large dragonfly hovered like a helicopter. A soft grey cloud wall was growing from the north, with ridges and softening rifts. There was softness to everything. I’m in love with Anna in this.

In the distance, signs of coming rain. The low horizon was looking like wet grey watercolour. A crow flew silently overhead. Edges were manageable, giving me signs of control –a sense of peace in the midst of what I understand but cannot see. Dark grey clouds were moving in, and the sun beamed down, giving my hand a shadow companion. The breeze became gusty and wide. A rumble came to a crescendo and suddenly stopped, and then a crow landed in the shimmering tree, cawing in bursts of 3. The dark grey cloud built up for rain suddenly dispersed, leaving the skies blue once again, and the north sky now had a light layer, which softened the blue near to white. I’m in love with Anna in this. She is my soulmate.
