A morning of being vaguely awake, it took me a while to assemble, but things started at 9 o’clock. It was very hot and muggy and I was not motivated to do much. We watched a program I taped on Channeling, with Telly Savalas as host. He wanted to talk about David Blaine and Chris Angel. In the afternoon, we put on Mars Attacks. We went to EB Games at Namur and took a look at The Movies. We may still go back to get it, because I think Tristan would love it. We went to Wal-Mart and I nearly got some new yellow dish cloths, but it was just a big mess, full of people and long lineups. I love my son. And I love Anna in the midst of this.

It was really too hot today and too humid for me to think or move around very much. I had to play nurse to Tristan this afternoon. Something he ate disagreed with him. This helping formed a bond, because we dealt with it successfully. He knew he could count on me in the middle of his discomfort. He felt much better after taking a shower. I also fixed his Game Cube, and so I helped him twice today. He was so very appreciative, and it was rewarding to find his favour. He’s playing Super Mario Sunshine, with its with its impressive rendering of water. And in the midst of this, I love Anna.
