I Strive With Love For My Heartthrob, Her Red Passion River, Her Black Potent Dreams

When I arrived at Starbucks, there were 19 people in the room, with 9 women and 10 men, and there were 3 conversations in progress. On the speakers, maritime ballads that sound like they came from the 1960’s. A man wore a grey jacket with brown top that had pink lines –it was a bear in the forest. A woman wore a green top with the word pink printed in pink on the front. She was something with her friend in black. They were looking at intricate diagrams. I was not sure if they were studying the human reproductive system or organizational behavior. The music was too loud for me to hear.

A woman wore a green top with a black sweater and a green scarf. She sat with her friend wearing red, with a red black and white coat on her chair. A man wore a red and black coat with black and red hat, grey sweater and red plaid shirt. Talk was lively and friendly. The sky was a clear light blue, beautiful to behold. It reminded me of my love Anna Dirksen’s blue coat. A woman arrived wearing a brown fur coat. She sat by the fire with a handful of pink envelopes and cards that she was signing. Many cards were yellow. A man and woman sat together. The woman wore an aquamarine sweater. A pink file folder on her table, a red knapsack on her chair, a pink and white scarf in her lap.

The man’s shirt was black and white. Jazz music played on the speakers. It was quite loud and it drowned voices out. Two women arrived with a stroller. Both of them were wearing red coats. When one of the women took off her coat, she revealed her baby wrapped close to her, with a vest-like baby halter that was pink plaid on the front. A woman arrived with a little boy and a high chair and sat next to me. The boy kept smiling at me. He was so adorably cute. He must have been 3 years old. The boy watched me for a moment and then said to the woman, “He’s writing a book” His mother arrived wearing a blue T-shirt with grey sweater and blue jeans.

She said, “I heard you’re writing a book.” She motioned to her child and said, “He wants to be a garbage man. But who knows, he may be a writer.” I replied, “Well, there’s lots of scribbling involved.” She said that he certainly scribbles. She jokingly asked her child, “Are you going to be a garbage man or garbage?” The boy ate a bagel with strawberry jam and cream cheese. The other woman, the boy’s grandmother arrived, wearing a grey sweater with black slacks. She was teaching French to the child. There was also a sleeping baby girl in her stroller. She wore a red outfit with yellow cat and dog faces. She woke up, sat up and smiled at me, chewing her little fingers. Her sweater was yellow.

From the speaker, a female jazz singer crooned My Funny Valentine. Two women arrived with their strollers. One woman wore a black coat. Her little boy wore a red and white striped outfit. I got so much attention from children today. The boy watched me and smiled. The other woman’s coat was white, but it could have been a very pale blue. Her sleeping child wore pink and purple. A man in black came in with his young daughter wearing a pale pink coat with pink sweater. When I got ready to leave, the boy in his red outfit blocked my way with his red stroller. His mother explained to me with a smile, “He hasn’t got his driver’s license yet.” It certainly was a day of children and the colour red.

And then she went to a green co-op, to shop for things that don’t leave a harsh mark, and then using a natural palate for green home renovating, and then to buying RRSPs with Jean Freed, and the to pets with frost bite and hypothermia and where’s Geeta. This morning, Anna my love showed me downtown early and so full of sky, and then to soulmates and sky glowing white with my heartthrob’s true love and delight. Anna showed me her harbour of love and the sky, with time and her river of love. Anna showed me the road below the CBC building, and she returned me to downtown sky and soulmates. And then to the bridge and triangle down by her beautiful river of love that remained with me as bright as day well beyond midnight. And I love her.

And I love her fluid nature, her lunar tug on my heart. Anna is my Yin champion of water. I feel no conflict with her. I love the love-work we do together. I love striving to match her level of playful exertion and passion. I know that this is no contest but a labour of love between us. Anna is my dream heroine, with inspiration as quick as lightening. Her black potency I deeply adore. I feel no competition with her, but a blending for loving encounter. No martial arts are required with my soulmate Anna. Only kissing and hugging and the desire live together with her as dual. I have no sense of argument here for my green girl with red passion but true love for my heartthrob. And her name is Anna Dirksen.
