The Intergalactic Cowboy

My week has been such a regular week that there is not much to report. The weather here has been unseasonably warm, with temperatures in the 60s. I wonder if the coming summer will be unseasonably warm as well ? My guitar practice has been joyous and my audio / video work at the church has been professionally administered. Suvy has been able to spend most of the past few days outside. She even stayed out until 8:45 pm one night. I had to go out looking for her with a flashlight for fear that she had gotten stuck somewhere. My policy now is to coax her inside at about 5:30 pm and keeping her inside from that time on. She meows to go out and I explain to her that she is not big enough to stay out late. She is approximately five and a half months old. All in all, she is a happy cat. On two mornings recently, my Mom awoke to find Suvy’s cheek pressed up against hers. What a sweet little animal.
I discovered one of Suvy’s limitations earlier this week when it rained most of the day. Suvy cried to go outside. Once outside in the rain, she cried to come back in. Once inside, she became bored and cried to go outside; then cried to come in out of the rain. Although she is a smart cat, she does not have the ability to choose between the lesser of two evils. So my policy from now on is to make those decisions for her, not out of any desire to control her, but to keep her from going from one unpleasant circumstance to another. She just doesn’t have the decision making skills to handle that situation.
