Positive Developments
Sorry for the lack of diary entries recently. I have been busy playing with my kitten.
After five months of recuperation, D has been told that her third broken bone has healed enough for her to begin putting weight on that leg again ! She can now relearn how to walk and eventually go back home. We have all been waiting for this positive sign. D now has a new roomate, Mrs. M., who is an entertaining conversationalist. The nursing home resident with the schizophrenia problem has now left the nursing home. Her daughter came and took her to the daughter’s house. The patient refused to leave her daughter’s car for two hours, but finally agreed to go into the house. I wish her a full recovery. There is another resident of the nursing home who is suffering delusions of a more normal senile dementia type. She has forgotten that she is a resident there and wheels around in her wheelchair asking people how she can get home. She insists that she doesn’t live in the nursing home. Poor thing !
Let me get back to positivity… In my sitting this morning, I encountered a new energy that felt like the energy of a Guitar Craft course. My guess is that this energy is coming from the performance team that will begin their tour in a few days. Godspeed to you all !
This afternoon, at 2:30 pm, I let my hyperactive kitten outside to enjoy the great outdoors. I looked out the door for her at 2:50 pm and saw her among the camellias, walking with her mother ! This was the first sighting of the mother cat in several weeks. I brought a bowl of catfood outside and called the cat. The kitten came running and the mother cat disappeared to the back left corner of the lot. The mother looked like she had not had a decent meal in weeks… Her coat was quite dull. It was too muddy for me to go back there so I left the bowl of food on a tree stump in hopes of the mother eating it and becoming closer to me. I hope that this strategy works !
With positivity,
I.C.
