The Wages Of Inattention Can Be Painful
Last night, I was hurriedly getting dressed and smashed my toe into one of the legs of my bed. Although I often get away with little punishment for inattention, this event has spurred a rather painful, swollen and bruised repurcussion. I hope that it isn’t broken. I do not want to pay a doctor to treat this injury. Live and learn.
Otherwise, the past few days have been a period of regular practice, eldercare and animal husbandry; all of which have been cheerful endeavors. I have a new student who is a forty year old, male, beginner guitarist, who wants to learn gospel music and acoustic rock. I have given care and attention to both D and my Mom on an almost daily basis. Suvy has continued to be a joy and amusement in both my life and my Mom’s life. Mom, for the first time in her life, allows this kitten to sleep with her. One morning Mom woke up to find Suvy resting her head on a pillow, just like a little person might. This chilly morning, she found that Suvy had pulled the covers up to her chin to keep warm.
What a character !
I.C.
p.s. CNBC was broadcasting from Caffe Laddro in Seattle this afternoon. I was looking for C.G. in the background but did not see him. The cafe was a lot more modern looking than I had pictured it. I had always pictured it as a sort of funky, dusty looking place. There seem to be a few desktop computers available for the customers to use. When the camera panned across the street, I was looking for the man who constructs rock sculptures. What fun !
How nice to know that you have a blog available. It’s good to read about the day-to-day world of one of Atlanta’s best kept secrets, the Intergalactic Cowboy. Your audience misses you and hopes for a special return gig one day soon. I book the Atlanta Brewing Company and we are looking for a special Halloween guest to play our tour/tasting. We’d love to have you. Simply e-mail me if you are interested. The is two 45 minute sets. We can discuss pay and details via e-mail or phone.
Best to you, your Mom, D and Suvy. I will check back often. Cheers.
