Unlucky Sevens

Filed under: Uncategorized — maxh @ 10:03 pm and

This morning I ran sound at a funeral and then visited D in the nursing home. D was listless and semiconcious. I don’t know if it was from medication or high blood sugar. I hope that she is being taken care of because I am limited as to what I can personally do for her. All I can really do is be supportive and loving.
The Live Earth concert is still being televised at this moment. Smashing Pumpkins are on now sounding rather good. The earlier bands sounded like high school garage bands live despite their well produced, formulaic, rock god recordings. It must have been the heat, humidity and 50,000 person distractions that did it to them. Madonna played one song while playing a Les Paul and even getting guitar feedback at the end of the song. She has apparently learned the joys of electric guitar playing. The Police will be on soon; quite curious.
Rock on in the name of conservation,

Positive Productivity

Filed under: Uncategorized — maxh @ 2:44 pm and

A surprisingly good night’s sleep last night. This helped my sitting. The lowered terror alert in England settled my nerves because I have two friends flying to London tonight. It’s their first trip to London and I don’t want it ruined by any zealots of any sort.
Yesterday I visited D in the nursing home. Her medication made her sick and unable to eat her lunch. I gave her some sugar-free butterscotch candy as a gift. She is still unable to put any weight on her multi-fractured leg and will be unable to receive any therapy to that leg until it can bear some weight.
I sold my Apple Computer stock today for an 8 percent profit. Twenty five percent of this money will be donated to the charities of my choice and the other seventy five percent will be used for luxury expenses that are not part of my daily living expenses. Apple still has not announced how many I-Phones it sold on June 29th and 30th. Rumors abound. My new phone that I got for free actually has stereo speakers on either side of the hinge of the lid. Unbelievable ! I will oneday get stereo headphones for it and download some music on it. I have yet to take a photo with it or a short moving picture with it. The stock quotes and news headlines that it accesses are still quite amusing.
A nice day,
I.C.

No Vehicular Doctorcide

Filed under: Uncategorized — maxh @ 10:46 pm and

As long as no doctors attempted any vehicular homocides today, then it was a good day. There is speculation on the street that this will be the new trend in Al Quaida terrorism; infiltrating professional situations with young, professionals as terrorists. Perhaps this plan can be fought off by the cutthroat tendencies of corportate America. Is this going to be the new American gothic drama ? Perhaps this will be the end of the American empire, that will mimic the end of the Roman Empire. What is the solution to the problem ?
At least today I could remember to gather a sense of presence within myself and send good wishes to the Guitar Craft community.
Today I was contacted by a former bandmate with whom I have not coresponded in 20 years. His name is Bill Kirch and he has a Myspace site. His site has a photo of him onstage at the Agora in Atlanta in 1979; presumably with The Nobz. I sent this photo to the CD cover designer for possible inclusion in the artwork, even though I signed off on the artwork just this morning. I hope that it is not too late.
Happy fourth of July,
I.C.

OK Everybody Relax

It would seem as though the potential bombings in the U.K. have de-escalated. More suspects have been arrested. One young medical doctor is among them. You would think that any M.D. would have the objectivity to understand when his religious beliefs had interfered with his ability to distinguish between right and wrong…
My sitting this morning was productive, setting up the conditions for a relaxed, attentive and healthy day.
Goodwill to all people in the U.K.

3:46 pm An 8th person has been arrested in the terror investigation. Three of the eight have been identified as doctors. The woman who was arrested is allegedly the wife of Mohammed Atta, who, if I am not mistaken, was one of the 911 hijackers. The road to justice is taking some new twists and turns here.
4:06 pm Delta airlines has tickets from Atlanta to Edinburgh on sale today.

Panic In Detroit

Filed under: Uncategorized — maxh @ 8:56 am and

And everywhere else in America this weekend as thousands of Americans rush to Apple and AT+T stores to buy and I-Phone, with which to monitor the terror threat in England and also the daily activities of Paris Hilton. It is estimated that 200,000 I-Phones were sold this weekend.
As of 8:00 am this morning, a total of five people have been arrested in the terror probe in Great Britain. Let us hope that this situation has stabilized and that there are no uneccessary deaths at either Wembledon or Wembley Stadium today. Hats off to London Calling for defiantly visiting art galleries in London despite the imminent threat of terrorism issued by the government.
My job related responsibilities will prevent me from monitoring this critical situation until the middle of the afternoon today.
Be safe,
I.C.
1:44 pm I am now back from my soundman / eldercare responsibilities. In church today I had to help assist a 90 year old woman who had an attack of dizzyness during the sermon. My Mom is actually in a greater state of alertness than usual today. I believe that a small quantity of dust has settled between the contact points in channel four of the soundboard. This channel keeps shorting out. Perhaps a few sprays of compressed air will clear out the dust… but more importantly:
The U.K. terrorism investigators now speculate that The Crevice Gang may be responsible for the wave of attempted bombings in England and Scotland this weekend. The Crevice Gang is a group of Islamist radicals who have been trained in Pakistan and are connected to Al Quaida. The unexploded vehicles have fingerprints and DNA evidence on them, which will prove invaluable in tracking these people down and removing them from society. The C.I.A. has aircraft available to take these people to foreign countries where torture and false confessions occur on a regular basis. The word on the street is that the English authorities have politely declined this opportunity… for now.
4:20 pm Heathrow airport has been evacuated ! A suspicious package was spotted at terminal three, leading to the immediate evacuation of the entire terminal. This terminal is the departure point of lots of international flights, including flights to the United States. Some passengers calmly walked to the emergency exits when the evacuation was announced over the airport speakers. Other passengers ran for their lives in the fear and frustration that their plans to safely leave the country were thwarted by a potential bomb in their midst. It is with much relief that I can now announce that within the last few minutes, the package has been determined to NOT be a bomb. There is now a manhunt on in England for a sixth suspect in this ever developing international drama.
