Myself and Nephew

My nephew and I are are actually in Thomaston in this picture. The cannonball behind us was the first cannonball fired in the first battle of the Civil War. An Upson County soldier was there at Fort Sumpter, South Carolina when the first shot was fired and he traced the path of the cannonball; retrieved it after the battle; and transported it home after the war.
My nephew is a healthy, happy and intelligent young man who is thirteen years old and whose favorite subject is math. His vocation is to become a journalist.
