Sunny Weather Continues
It is 75 degrees with 25% humidity today here. The weather never gets any better than this around here. The stock market is having surprisingly good weather today despite what Alan Greenspan said. Even though Mr. Greenspan is no longer the chief of the Federal Reserve Board, his comments are listened to attentively whenever he gives a speech, as he did this morning. Mr. Greenspan commented that the U.S. economy is likely to go into recession by the end of the year due to the increasing deficit spending by the government. Comments like this usually cause the market to crash, but as of a few minutes ago, the stock market was only down 19 points. My prediction of a major correction did not come true within the time period that I predicted a couple of weeks ago. The media seems intent on creating some kind of investor panic by putting out a new doom and gloom scenario each day. The media has enough enormous power to create such an upheaval. They certainly scared me enough to sell all of my profitable stocks. I will of course report more as this insidious situation progresses.
And on the non-financial front, ( which is a big part of my life, by the way )Â my sittings have had a quality of loving attention lately.
