Sin Entanglement
    No, I am not entangled in sin tonight; this is the name of the band that I saw at the local music venue here in Thomaston. This is a two piece band with the singer playing rhythm guitar with an accompanying bass player. Although the bass playing and guitar playing are barely adequate, the vocals are incredible. The singer is heavily influenced by Chris Connell, Scott Stapp, Eddy Vedder and the singer from Alice in Chains. His voice is proffessional quality with a nice raspy throatiness that you rarely hear in a small town setting. Its the kind of voice that a major label would like to exploit for two or three CDs and then throw out with the trash, after having not payed him any royalties; a true star. I told him that he should get a full band together and perform here again. Although a band like this with a Seattle sound is rather derivative by big city standards, the major labels are looking for a safe, copycat group like this, as is the general public for that matter. Besides, a group like this could conceivably evolve into a more original sounding band eventually.Â
