Oncological Information
I’m back from the oncologist with favorable news. My immediate bloodwork looks good. My white blood cell count is the highest that it has been in a couple of years! The liver function tests will be ready in a few days. I asked my doctor what I should do if my lymphoma acts up overseas. One of the symptoms is a fever of 101 degrees, which could ruin a vacation. Anyway, he said that the fever would go up and down. He suggested that if it acts up over there, I should just take aspirin and enjoy my trip as much as possible ! Cool ! Â
The Bill Nelson master guitar class has sold out. My ticket request was made about one week before the event sold out, but I never received a confirmation. The convener has not answered my e-mail request for a confirmation. I do have reservations at the hotel where the class will take place. It’s the Hilton in York; actually a more expensive hotel than I would like to stay at. I don’t know if I will go up there without a confirmation or not. York, however, does have a reputation as a fun place to visit, even if you find out at the last minute that you can’t attend the Bill Nelson convention. I need my plans for those two days written in stone before I leave here though… Â
I still can’t find a suitable hotel in Wales. The only suitable hotel will not return my e-mail requests for a confirmation or even an acknowledgement that they have received an e-mail. Perhaps I will resort to a long distance phone call. This hotel is a family owned business rather than a corporate owned hotel. This situation will have to be resolved before I get on a plane to go over there as well. I have two ancestors from Wales and I would like to get my feet wet in Cardiff before I venture out into the small villages that my ancestors are from.
Tally ho !
