The Intergalactic Cowboy

     What happened? The last thing that I knew, it was Thursday, August 3rd and now its Wednesday, August 9th. Did I just wake up from a coma? No wait; now it’s coming back to me.

     Last Thursday I traveled to Atlanta to see the CGT perform at the 5 Spot; the hot, dimly lit 5 Spot. Before the show I ran into Atlanta bass player Hutch Renaud, which was nice. At the show I ran into Christine Robertson and Marc Goldberg, who let me sit on the front row with them. The CGT were in good form, playing an improvisation in the middle of ‘Cosmo Calypso’ that had a loop that was quite reminiscent of Frippertronics. It is too bad that my allergy kicked in after about an hour. My throat started stinging and burning, followed by a hot flash. I fled the club to the air conditioned comfort of my vehicle. I suspect that I have somehow developed and allergy to uncooked onions. This is the second time that this has happened after eating this delicacy. I, at least, got to say hello to Bert and Hideyo before the show started.
