Now that that is out of the way, it’s good to have the server working a fair bit better!  Thank you all for your patience to what in reality very easily could have permanently shut the site down.

And now, on to the regularly scheduled items:

The first heavy frost of the year occurred last night as evidenced by the following photos:

And the trees have finally started really turning due to the cold:

I saw no less than 4 accidents, make that at least 5 today.  This was the view from afar as I awaited my turn to pass by the twisted metal likely spawned by inattention and a lack of consideration for your fellow driver:

You can see the fire truck who assisted coming by the accident in the left lane.  They were just leaving as I came up, having taken the gridlock opportunity to refuel my vehicle.  Although this was the final one, it wasn’t the worst accident I saw.  There was one earlier in the day involving about 5 vehicles.

Each day I have the opportunity to dodge at least 2 to 3 people who randomly change lanes with no warning, occasionally with me next to them.  I suppose I get to see more of this since I drive about 95 miles a day round trip.

The good news?  They are building an IHOP in the shopping center near our house.  I’m hoping for a 24 hour version… or are they all 24 hour shops?  Granted, there is already a Waffle House and a 24 Hour McDonalds down the road, but I’m not a big McD’s fan, mainly because I can’t stomach the food these days.  But strangley, Waffle House is great, at least in moderation.

My wife was elected to the music board at our church.  I proudly proclaimed I did not vote for her during the meeting, at which my wife rightiously threw her choir book at me from across the sanctuary.  I suppose my reason for not voting for her was not really implied correctly when I said that.  I meant honestly that I just didn’t want to make her come up for more meetings… no really!

Last night’s practice went fine, but was short.

Looking for inspiration for the secret website of delight, Krimson News, and another secret project or two.

Also, finally, I’m quite concerned for Nadim as he’s been AWOL for several days now and I have been totally unable to reach him.  Can someone out there let him know?  Prayer for him flies out.  Give me a shout Nadim!

Many of you out there have probably noticed that I have been pretty spotty in my online presence.  You are not mistaken.

Don’t know that I mentioned it, but the school that Laurie was principal at has closed.  She has decided to exit the education field due to the politics and strife that was involved in every level she worked.

Knowing the amount that I know, second hand even, I cannot begin to blame her.

She has decided to begin again.  This time starting on her own as an independant beauty consultant, which I’m sure most of you know.  She enjoys it, but still feels like a fish out of water I suspect.  It’s a much different scene.  If you are interested in becoming a client to her, give me a shout, and I’ll forward the message.

And in the meantime, her income has just barely started to spool up, and all the while, our bank account has dwindled to nearly nothing.  But God continues to provide everything we need, exactly when we need it, and with that, I’m thankful.

My job is going well, but with the downturn in the mortgage industry, getting business is becoming a challenge.  And with that, my job, and company, could be at risk.  It is a difficult situation, but not an impossible one.

The main laptop/computer at home has also seen it’s fair share of issues, enough so, that I am unable to efficiently edit podcasts.  So that hopefully explains why the CGT interview has been a no show.

Our kitten, Scarface, recently was fixed, and was just barely slowed down.  He’s back to his usual terrorizing self.  For an example, see the photo below:

All that, AND, I’m a deacon at our church as of this month!  Crazy times. 

So, I’m hoping to continue to be able to pop in from time to time, but distractions abound.  Pray for us, I’ll be praying for you.
