Jeff Duke, Assembler of Documents, Sheds, Podcasts, Websites, etc…

Posted at 10:22 am under Diary, Podcasts

After work, I went upstairs immediately and updated some documentation which was subsequently sent out.  I didn’t get any feedback on the documentation, but I hope it was received well and made sense, due to the hurried nature in which it was updated.

In preparation of the arrival of my Grandmother in Law’s stuff, we have successfully stood up a Rubbermaid storage shed in my Mother in Law’s back yard.  The most difficult part was getting the ground prepared, the shed, not so bad.  A lack of light encouraged us to regroup in a few days in order to assemble and place the roof which remains as the final piece.

Once finally home, (at around 9ish), I completed editing and assembly of the Krimson News Podcast.  I felt like I had to rush the editing too much, but there’s only a couple of points which I think I really missed that should have been cleaned up.  I do this not necessarily to make us sound more professional, but moreover, to sound more pleasing and to cut the time down.  You’d be amazed how much time would be saved in everyday conversation if there was no lengthy pauses or stutters/stammers in a conversation.  This was slightly exaggerated by Bernhard since English is obviously not his primary language, however, he did an excellent job and honestly didn’t need a huge amount of editing.  For me, it’s not the length of the part that needs to be snipped, it’s the amount of snipping points.  If every other word is “Uhh” it’s much more difficult than “excuse me, what’s the word for, this, or that”.  Overall, it was a good interview and hopefully you all will think so to.

Afterwards, work continued on a new project and some older ones until around 2:30ish, bed, then awake at 5:30.  All good stuff.  Work is fun, honestly.

More Later-

Jeff
