Krimson News Blogs Blogging Agreement
version: 1.1 (Last Revised August 10th, 2006)

1) Ensure that you own the work, (text, photo, audio, etc.), that you publish or proclaim by publishing that material, you have permission to use it here. However, if requested by a copyright holder you will remove any infringing material, and let site administrators know of any problems in doing so as quickly as possible. Likewise, if requested by a copyright holder, administration at Krimson News reserves the right to edit/delete and modify your post and/or blog hosted here for the sole purpose of removing any infringing material. Best efforts will be made to ensure that you are notified when this occurs.

2) You realize that by publishing your work at the Krimson News Blogs that your work will be available for viewing and listening on the internet. By publishing said work, you realize that although you may delete items in the future, your work may be available elsewhere on the internet due to the nature of the internet. If you wish to have those sites remove that material, you will only hold the owners of those sites which hold your copyrighted work responsible for removing said material.

3) You will not post links to pirated or stolen software, audio, etc., or resources for said material(s). If you unknowingly do so, you will remove those links, and let site administrators know of any problems in doing so as quickly as possible.

4) You will not post links or material such as but not limited to, photos, video and audio containing pornography, racist propaganda and hate speech, and sites of doubtful legality. When in doubt, ask Jeff Duke or someone involved administration of Krimson News for clarification.

5) You will promise to be friendly and nice to your fellow Krimson News Bloggers and keep personal attacks off of the KN “blogosphere”. If you have problems or issues with a fellow blogger, you will let Jeff Duke or another Krimson News representative know so they may intervene as possible.

6) If you have any questions regarding the system you will ask Jeff Duke or another Krimson News representative. They do not have all of the answers, but will do their best to find out, and you accept this reality.

7) If you want your blog deleted, you will let Jeff Duke or another Krimson News representative know via Email. Someone will respond via email and confirm with you that you wish for the blog to be deleted. You realize that this may take a few days to accomplish as it is dependant on availability.

8) You realize that although every effort is made on the part of Krimson News site administration to retain backups for your blog/site, that you should keep personal backups on your own computer or the storage system of your choice of anything of value that you wish to keep as it could be lost without warning. Although issues like this are not anticipated on a frequent basis, you will not hold Jeff Duke or anyone associated with Krimson News Blogs responsible for lost information, data, work in any way for any reason. In other words, Jeff Duke makes no promises in the security of your data published here so please keep backups on your own system.

9) You will not attempt to hack, circumvent security, or misuse this website for any use, including but not limited to the purposes of sending spam via email or otherwise.

10) There are limitations to the storage space available at Krimson News. If you need more than the allotted amount, (IE: 50MB’s total per blog of upload space and 5MB per upload is currently configured), you will let Jeff Duke know and request more space. Jeff Duke will do his best to accomodate needs of all bloggers here, but this is not always possible. Helping with a monthly contribution is suggested if more space is needed, but this is not a requirement.

11) You will not attempt to open more than one blog at Krimson News unless you have requested and been given permission from Jeff Duke via email.

12) You understand that Jeff Duke may at any time remove your blog for any reason, stated or unstated, and agree not to hold Jeff Duke or anyone at Krimson News liable for this. You also understand that at his discretion, you may be banned from reregistering and agree not to hold Jeff Duke or anyone at Krimson News liable for this. This said, in general, if you are removed and/or banned you WILL know why. It is our hope never to invoke this policy. Blogging here is a priviledge, not a right!

13) If your blog becomes inaccessible or “broken” for a period of time due to server issues, you understand that after contacting Jeff Duke or someone at Krimson News administration, they will do their best to restore your site to it’s original condition, but you will not hold them liable for any lost revenue, real, interpreted, or otherwise, due to your blog being inaccessible or otherwise “broken”.

14) We reserve the right to make occasional revisions to this agreement. Those amended agreements will be emailed to the email address used to register your account. At that time you will need to let Jeff Duke or someone in Krimson News administration know if you wish to discontinue blogging here or if you have questions or concerns about the amended agreement.

15) Foul language for the sake of foul language is to be avoided. Avoiding foul language helps keep Krimson News off of child and business office protective language filters, and you agree to support that as possible. In other words, many services and companies block websites based upon the language and content found at that site, and we don’t want to be on one of those lists as it would prevent people from visiting us! You agree to help support this aim.

16) You will have fun blogging and meeting new and interesting people from the internet.

17) You will agree or at least humor the possibility that it’s not the “trucks”, but in actuality the “series of tubes” that make the internet work.

18) You will consider making occasional donations to help support Krimson News.
