Tree Planting at Temple Beth El

Yesterday we planted 47 trees along the north and south perimeter of Temple Beth El in East Hollywood. There were 23 Pachira spp. from seed collected at Willis Harding Park, and 24 Ceiba pentandra from this tree on Reunion Island (seed bought on EBay). The temple is heavily involved in environmental awareness and activism, including orphanages and (very shortly) reforestation in Haiti using Moringa. I donated the seedlings, staked out the plants, with members and 5th and 6th grade students cooperating in the planting. Coffee and donuts were provided!
