Sacrament of the Smoldering Carrot
This morning in a dream, in the streets of NYC, amongst a group of Crafty people, I received a Sacrament. The Sacrament of the Smoldering Carrot. In this scenario, a carrot was plucked from the embers of a fire, and the founder of Guitar Craft delivered the Sacrament by saying “This is your chance”, and as I closed my eyes and opened my mouth, he blew smoke from The Smoldering Carrot into my mouth, “shotgun” style.
Friday Tess Kramer and I shot footage of baobab trees, me talking while driving, me talking beside baobab trees, and Harvey Bernstein (FTBG curator) and I talking next to a baobab, all to create a segment to be submitted to Current TV (currenttv.com). Today we visit the trees in Broward County. Yesterday we hit the big Dade County locales. I also collected some seed from trees I hadn’t before. They’ve received the necessary treatment and are in pots.
Yesterday a recovery day, including lunch with the Kramers at all-you-can-eat sushi. While riding in the car on the outbound leg, iTunes delivered a Bongwater tune, which it took K a few minutes to even realize. He asked me what it was from(!), and I said “The Big Sell Out”, which led to some exclamations of disgust on his part, and some laughter on mine. I said if he didn’t know it was from that he would probably like it.
